"Blind Faith" is the new 7" from Long Island, New York's Capital. It is about religion, corporate greed, and personal politics, among other things. Like the topics, the lyrics are honest and relatable; the music – fast, driving and anthemic.
Back in 2006, Capital released their debut on Iron Pier and dropped their sophomore on the mighty REVELATION. Now in 2009, Iron Pier and Just A Audial bring you these neglected and unheard songs. They were originally slotted to appear on a split with Crime In Stereo. After that release got shelved, Capital, IRP and JAA joined forces to put this record out: seven friends, three songs, one record.
Capital draw influence from other Long Island bands like Crime In Stereo, Kill Your Idols, Latterman, etc. but also playing a role in their musical evolution are Quicksand, Bad Religion and Dag Nasty.
This 7” is pressed on several limited varieties of colored vinyl and each record comes with a personalized redeemable mp3 download coupon. In the coming months the songs on this album will be available on iTunes, Emusic, Rhapsody, Downloadpunk.com, and other music download sites.
Red vinyl only.
